Designed for readers ages 5 to 12, these engaging stories teach character, responsibility, kindness, perseverance, and respect while celebrating family, community, and culture. Young readers will laugh, learn, and grow alongside Arlo as he discovers that life's greatest adventures often come from everyday moments.

MICHAEL L. CORDER, JR. is a minister, educator, mentor, and community leader who has dedicated his life to helping others discover hope, purpose, and faith. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael is a graduate of Whites Creek High School, American Baptist College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude, and Vanderbilt University, where he received a Master of Divinity degree.
Since answering his call to ministry in 2007, Michael has served in a variety of leadership roles, including pastor, associate minister, and mentor to individuals seeking a second chance in life. He currently serves as Assistant Director of the Men's Life Recovery Program at the Nashville Rescue Mission and continues to minister at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about encouraging others to grow in character, compassion, and faith.
Inspired by his love for family and his desire to share meaningful life lessons with young readers, Michael created The Adventures of Arlo. Through Arlo's experiences, he hopes to help children develop confidence, kindness, responsibility, and a sense of wonder about the world around them. Michael and his wife, Anita, have been married for more than twenty-six years and are the proud parents of three children and grandparents of two grandchildren. The Adventures of Arlo marks his debut children's book series.
